THE BLUE RIBBON RUN

At Blue Ribbon Run, it has become our life mission to make a difference in the lives of others.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure and raising awareness about Colorectal Cancer. The Blue Ribbon Run has established an endowment at UNC-Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center in Chapel Hill to help fund research to find a cure for this third leading cause of cancer deaths.

A life's legacy

Julie and Christina

The Blue Ribbon Run began as a way to honor and remember the lives of Julie M. Brown and Christina Gianoplus by raising money and awareness and establishing an endowment in their names at the UNC-Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Julie and Christina both lost their battles with colorectal cancer at the young age of 41.

The run continues today, partnering with sponsors and donors to help those in our community battling colorectal cancer.
